Women's Rest and Renewal Retreat @ Cathedral Ridge
The Women’s Rest and Renewal Retreat provides women much-needed time and space away from daily concerns to be pampered and nurtured, and to connect to their deeper selves and to one another. In gathering together, being together, playing together, and discovering together, participants encounter sacred time and space to see God revealed in each other, in one’s self, and in creation.
Women who will most benefit from the retreat are those with limited resources who have experienced challenging life circumstance such as death of a loved one, loss of a job, or recovery from addiction or illness.
The retreat includes:
  • Shuttle to and from Denver. (We ask for help coordinating travel from other locations.)
  • Two nights in a single room at Lupine Lodge
  • All meals and retreat materials
Retreat organizers: Spiritual Direction Colorado, past retreat participants, and The Episcopal Church in Colorado.
Clergy are invited to refer women to attend the retreat, which is free of charge to all participants. The retreat is limited to 16 participants.

How to Register

  • If you have someone you would like to refer, please offer her a copy of the Retreat Brochure.
  • If she is interested, have her complete the downloadable Registration Form and return it to you.
  • Return the registration form to Charlotte Shepic at Spiritual Direction Colorado: clshepic54@gmail.com.

Other Ways to Support the Retreat

The Women’s Rest and Renewal Retreat is funded by individuals and congregations from the Episcopal Church in Colorado and other sponsoring organizations. Consider making a donation as part of your outreach ministry. For more information, please contact Tracy Methe at Tracy@EpiscopalColorado.org. The cost per participant is $250. This year we are also partnering with the St. Francis Apartments at Cathedral Square to send four women on the retreat, and we are inviting congregations to sponsor one or more of these individuals.

About the Women’s Rest and Renewal Retreat

A couple of years ago at a Spiritual Direction Colorado conference in February several of the Committee members were dreaming about a way to offer spiritual renewal to people who could not afford to participate in our conferences. Collectively we came up with the idea of hosting a retreat for women with limited resources.  It was with the generous support from the Colorado Episcopal Foundation, clergy and Episcopal Churches, and members of Spiritual Direction Colorado in the spring of 2018 that we offered the first Women’s Rest and Renewal Retreat at Cathedral Ridge.
The women who participated in the spring of 2018 were grateful for their time away from the routine where they could enjoy their own space and have time to relax into the Mystery of Life we call God. Children, chores, cares were put away for a brief time.  Again this year we are seeking to provide a safe space for women with limited resources to participate in the 2019 Women’s Rest and Renewal Retreat September 6-8, 2019 at Cathedral.
