Spring 2024 Edition

This edition of the Colorado Episcopalian invites us to explore the theme: “The Church as the Body of Christ.” The Church’s unity in diversity seems so relevant for the Church in its present context. The many parts of the body are all different from each other, yet all are necessary. How are we engaging in the world, proclaiming by word and example, seeking and serving Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors, striving for justice and peace among all people, and respecting the dignity of every human being? Join us in exploring these questions together.

Submissions

Issues are designed thematically and pre-planned within the Office of the Bishop staff. We welcome submissions; articles and updates may be utilized in the Colorado Episcopalian, or may be used in other publications. Articles that will be considered will reflect the theme for the upcoming edition.

Parishes and their ministries as well as diocesan institutions may submit articles for consideration. If you have story ideas or a submission for consideration, please email Mike@EpiscopalColorado.org.

The Episcopalian was on hiatus for 2023, but is now resuming as a twice-a-year publication in the Spring and Fall.

Parameters for Articles:
Articles celebrate the ministries and life of the Episcopal Church in Colorado. Articles are intended to highlight the work being done in and through the lives of church leaders, parishes, and diocesan institutions and are not event-based or advertising for upcoming or past events or opportunities. Articles for the Episcopalian should be first-person narratives and not written in academic style or in third-person reporting style. This ‘voice’ is the voice of storytelling and sharing rather than news reporting on an event/group/ministry. Book reviews and promotions of books or other for-sale items are not accepted. Article length should be between 750 to 1000 words; length can be extended with permission from Mike Orr, Canon for Communications.
