Seasonal Approach to Regathering Colorado
The Office of the Bishop has put together a “Seasonal Approach to Regathering” presentation that outlines leadership principles as we imagine the move from stay-at-home protocols to in-person gatherings. We anticipate a transition of 4 seasons, taken together lasting 12 to 18 months:
- Season I: Staying at Home;
- Season II: Continuing Mitigation;
- Season III: Lifting Physical Distancing, but with Protections; &
- Season IV: Applying what we have learned and preparing for the future.
This four-season approach provides us with a vision for imagining our new future as God’s people, understanding the reality of our situation with more clarity, and putting into place adaptive missional options that could be used long-term.
Holy Spirit, you blessed the first disciples with the power to spread God’s love throughout the world. Give us a new power to proclaim your word through the channels of technology and give us confidence in the face of change to embrace new things. Make us willing to receive that word as it enters our daily lives and immerse us in the power of your Providence. Guide those who send out the message and those who receive it, so that all people may come to know your truth and be renewed by your love. We ask this through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
