Canon for Mission & Operations, Office of the Bishop – Denver, CO (Full-time)
In the Episcopal Church in Colorado, there are four canons to the ordinary, each with their own portfolio: Mission and Operations; Communications and Evangelism; Formation and Pastoral Care; Transition and Wellness. Each Canon is charged with representing the Bishop and communicating her core message to clergy, laity, and congregations.
The Canon for Mission and Operations has four primary areas of focus: Relationship Building, Strategic Counsel, Property, and Canonical Matters. The Canon for Mission and Operations reports to and is accountable to the Bishop. In the absence of the Bishop, the Canon for Mission and Operations is responsible for coordination of the Office of the Bishop, including shared decision-making in collaboration with the other Canons, relevant staff, and/or the Chancellor.
