Greetings, beloved in Christ. It is morning here in Limuru, Kenya, and I bring in greetings from the St. Julian Center, a retreat center sponsored by the Anglican Church in Kenya. Today, I will be spending time at St. Paul's University School of Theology with the Center for Anglican Women's Leadership and Research in Africa. Bishop Emily is the Executive Director of the center, and I'll be meeting with women clergy to talk about gender-based violence and how we, as Church, can witness and advocate for those who are victims.
We will be talking about women's leadership in Church and how God is calling us and working through us to reconcile and change not only the church, but the world. We are doing this very hard work in community, and I am grateful for it. I invite you, if you have an opportunity, to come to the St. Julian Center here. The grounds are beautiful. There are ample opportunities to immerse yourself in God's creation, to admire the beauty of this place, to let yourself be nourished and fed by the Holy Spirit, and the people here will feed you very well. Know that you are in my prayers, and I hope that I continue in yours. Blessings.
