Greetings, beloved in Christ. I hope that you are well on this day. Summer is drawing to a close, and here in the Episcopal Church of Colorado, we are celebrating an incredibly successful summer camp season. We had children and youth camp for all ages, creatives' camp, and family camps for congregations. Our season will culminate in our multicultural camp, which is already full, and we are so excited for it.

As our summer camp season winds to a close, it is the opening of our Abound Retreats. Abound Retreats were meant to be a way for those who are doing ministry in parish contexts to make connections with one another, to share best practices, and to find out how God is working in and through them to build up the ministry of the whole church. This year's Abound Retreats includes retreats for youth ministers, for parish administrators, for musicians, and for those who are passionate about Creation Care. We even have an Abound Retreat for deacons. I hope that all priests in the diocese will encourage their layfolks and all of those congregations who are lay-led will consider sending someone to attend an Abound Retreat in their area of ministry. These retreats are heavily subsidized by both your diocesan contributions and regional grants, and they are for the building up of ministry in the church, for support, for collaboration, for the reminder that we all need, that none of us are in this ministry alone. I hope that you will take advantage of these retreats. Blessings.
