Greetings, beloved in Christ. I hope that you are well on this day. In a few short weeks, the Episcopal Church of Colorado will be gathering for its annual convention. We will gather October 9th, 10th, and 11th in Pueblo, Colorado. We will be graced by a keynote and sermon from our former presiding Bishop, Michael Bruce Curry. And together, we will pray and contemplate what it means for us to follow Christ in these days, and how we are all being called promote the Kingdom of God.
Delegates from all over the church, clergy and lay, are invited to convention. But everyone throughout the church is invited to participate as we will have our online workshops again this year. Backed by popular demand, these workshops enable anyone from the diocese to be a part of the work that we're doing. Some interesting topics that will be online for this year's workshops are: radicalizing the Nicene Creed, an affordable housing workshop, cultivating courageous hospitality and becoming beloved community, nonviolence and community history projects. Also, how we stand in solidarity with our indigenous siblings in Christ. All of these workshops are free and open to anyone who would like to participate, all you have to do is sign up.
I hope that you will join us and that you will hold all of us in prayer as we gather for our convention. Even if you are not attending, your prayers are important. Blessings.
