Diocesan Youth Spring Overnight

"As You Are"

March 21st-22nd at St John's Cathedral, Denver

The Bible. It's the most important book of our faith. It holds all we need to enter into the story, shape our faith, and live our lives the way Jesus lived. But we all have a different relationship and comfortability with the Bible. Join your fellow 6th-12th graders for the Diocesan Lock-In March 21-22 at St John's Cathedral where you can come "As You Are" where we well talk about Bible basics, learn why context matters, explore the story, and find our own entry points. After a little formation, we will play games, watch a movie, enjoy some snacks and quality time together! The lock-in will conclude with Sunday service at the Cathedral.

What is the Spring Overnight?

The Spring Overnight is just that; an overnight at St John's Cathedral! Serving as the diocesan sponsored youth event for the spring, the overnight is a chance to for 6th-12th grade students to come together for formation and fellowship. Knowing that the spring is notoriously more stressful for middle and high school students, the main objective of the overnight is bonding and connecting as teens from around the diocese. There will be light formation, but the focus is on fun and community building. The event is capped at 50 students.

Who Can Attend the Spring Overnight?

The overnight is open to all 6th-12th grade students in the diocese. It's a great opportunity, especially if you're looking for a less intimidating way to enter into diocesan youth events as it's only one full day and night.

Who Plans the Spring Overnight?

The overnight is planned by the Colorado Youth Council (YOCO). YOCO is a youth board of high school student who give their voice to their ministry planning and running both Quest and the Overnight as well as helping to shave YES trips and summer camp.
