Greetings, beloved in Christ. I hope that you are well on this day. Today is an exciting day for me because I am headed this evening to Boulder where I will be celebrating the new ministry between St. Mary Magdalene and their new Rector, the Reverend Beth Taylor. This will be my fifth celebration of new ministry this year.
And it is important for me to be a part of these celebrations because it is the reminder that we are called to ministry together, a congregation and their new clergy and the bishop. We are all called to be about building the kingdom of God here in the Episcopal Church of Colorado. Before I go on sabbatical, I’m looking forward to celebrating four more celebrations of new ministry.
And it is a privilege and an honor for me to welcome new clergy and to this vibrant ministry that is the Episcopal Church of Colorado. It is a privilege for me to work with so many gifted clergy who want to serve God and to lift up the ministry of lay folks so that we might all be laborers in the vineyard that God calls us to. I ask that you hold in your prayers, our congregations in transition and pray for the new ministries that are sprouting up among us. Pray that we might faithfully go where God is calling. Blessings.
