- Interfaith-Hosted Public Film Screening: Abraham's Bridge, Saturday, February 7, 6:30 to 8:30 pm, at Grace Presbyterian Church, 7900 Hope Pl, Littleton, CO 80125. The Interfaith Coalition of Douglas County welcomes you to our first public education and dialogue event – an evening of film, conversation, and connection across religious difference. Abraham's Bridge is a short documentary that explores the Tri-Faith Initiative in Omaha, Nebraska — a collaborative project bringing Jewish, Christian, and Muslim communities together through the creation of a shared campus that includes a synagogue, mosque, church, and interfaith center. - Creating Self Compassion Through Centering Prayer, Thursdays, February 12 to March 19, 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, online via Zoom. Over the six weeks, we will explore the physical changes centering prayer brings about in our brains. We will then explore the corresponding mental, emotional, and spiritual transformations resulting from those changes. - Introduction to the Forgiveness Prayer, Saturday, February 14, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, online via Zoom. The Prayer of Forgiveness is a powerful prayer that can help you forgive at the deepest level of your being. During this class, you will receive instruction on this prayer, developed by Contemplative Outreach founding member Mary Mrozowski. - Absalom Jones Celebration Mass, Saturday, February 14, 11:00 am, at The Church of the Holy Redeemer, 2552 N. Williams Street, Denver, CO 80205. For the second year the Church of the Holy Redeemer will celebrate the birth of the nation's first African American priest. The celebrant will be the Right Rev. Christopher Epting a retired bishop and wonderful friend to the Holy Redeemer parishioners. Lunch will follow mass in the Parish Hall. - Gathering of Episcopal Parishes for Social Justice, Sunday, February 22, 2:00 to 4:30 pm, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 1280 Vine Street, Denver. The social justice committee at St Barnabas invites members of other Episcopal parishes to unite together in our common work. We aim to make our church a leading moral voice in upholding the image of God in all people, especially immigrants and the poor.
