Greetings, Beloved in Christ. This week’s video comes from our beautiful camp and retreat center, Cathedral Ridge. I’m here meeting with the Bishop’s Advisory Council on Ordained Ministry, and working to discern with faithful, faithful nominees, what God’s call is on their life. We are coming up on the Third Sunday of Advent, which is Gaudete Sunday, it is Stirrup Sunday. And I want to share with you a poem from my book of Advent meditations that I have found meaningful.

God of making and of unmaking. God of tearing down and recreating. You are our home and habitation, our refuge, our place of dwelling. In your hallows, we are reformed, given welcome and benediction, beckoned to rest, your made ready, and we are sent forth.

I wish you the blessings of this Advent season.
