- A Light in the Darkness: A Winter Solstice Recital, Sunday, December 21, 4:00 pm, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1419 Pine St., Boulder, CO 80302. St. John's Principal Organist Aaron Hirsch is joined by Colorado Symphony Principal Flutist Brook Ferguson. The evening will begin with Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 2, transcribed for organ by Hirsch. Other pieces on the program include Daniel Pinkham's Miracles, a new work by Kile Sm, and various Christmas Carol treatments by Charles Callahan and Robert Powell.
