Fall 2024 Edition
The theme for the fall edition of the Colorado Episcopalian magazine, “Journeying Together,” invites readers to reflect on our lives of faith, through the revelatory lens of pilgrimage as a metaphor for our spiritual and communal journeys. This edition will explore the transformative power of walking together in faith, discovering the sacred in both the physical and spiritual landscapes we traverse, beginning right at home and discovering ever the ever-expanding call of God for us. The ancient spiritual practice of pilgrimage, a centralย expression of this theme, embodies the intentional act of seeking and finding God’s presence in the world and within ourselves. Together, we listen for God, we discern Godโs call, and we take steps into the future God has for us. Reflecting on our journey as pilgrims encourages deeper connections with fellow travelers, fostering unity, shared wisdom, and collective growth. Through stories, reflections, and insights, “Journeying Together” will inspire us to embrace the path ahead with open hearts, knowing that we are never alone on our pilgrimage of faith.

Spring 2024 Edition
This edition of the Colorado Episcopalian invites us to explore the theme: โThe Church as the Body of Christ.โ The Churchโs unity in diversity seems so relevant for the Church in its present context. The many parts of the body are all different from each other, yet all are necessary. How are we engaging in the world, proclaiming by word and example, seeking and serving Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors, striving for justice and peace among all people, and respecting the dignity of every human being? Join us in exploring these questions together.
Submissions
Issues are designed thematically and pre-planned within the Office of the Bishop staff. We welcome submissions; articles and updates may be utilized in the Colorado Episcopalian, or may be used in other publications. Articles that will be considered will reflect the theme for the upcoming edition.
Parishes and their ministries as well as diocesan institutions may submit articles for consideration. If you have story ideas or a submission for consideration, please email Mike@EpiscopalColorado.org.
Deadlines for Submissions:
- Spring 2025 edition, March 1, 2025 – “Outreach as an Offering”
- In the spirit of giving, we recognize that outreach is more than just an act of charityโit is a sacred offering, a way we extend Godโs love and grace into the world. When we serve others, we are offering ourselves to God, reflecting His boundless compassion and mercy. Whether itโs through feeding the hungry, comforting the lonely, or standing in solidarity with the marginalized, our outreach efforts are acts of worship that transform both those who give and those who receive.ย As the Apostle Paul reminds us: “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” (Romans 12:1, NRSV).ย This edition of The Colorado Episcopalian invites us to explore how our outreach becomes an offering, embodying the love and generosity of Christ. Let us come together as a community, offering our time, talents, and resources to build a more just and loving world.
