Reduce Textile Waste

Textiles (clothing, footware, furniture, carpets, bedding) are the sixth largest component of household waste, with clothing making up the biggest share (think “fast fashion”). Creative ways to reduce textile waste abound, with precycling being the most effective: Ask yourself, “Do I really need this?” Other ways to reduce waste include reselling, doing a clothing swap, repurposing items, and buying items made from recycled materials.
