BACOM Registration

The Bishop’s Advisory Committee on Ordained Ministry retreat (BACOM) is held each year in November. All paperwork must be completed and submitted to the Executive Assistant to the Canon to the Ordinary by September 1.  If a document requires a signature, a hard copy must be mailed. Other items may be sent electronically.

Requirements to Attend BACOM

The first two documents noted below are required by the Canons to specify Diaconate (D) or Priesthood (P).
The remaining documents are submitted by everyone.

Form  D1 or P1: Nomination for Ordination
Form D2 or P2: Acceptance of Nomination
Form 3: Letter of Support from Sponsoring Clergy
Form 4a: Application for Admission to Postulancy
Form 4b: Spiritual and Personal Autobiography

Background Check – Contact Dianne Draper at ddraper@episcopalcolorado.org or 303-837-1173 to begin the background check process.  This process takes at least two weeks.

Medical Evaluation
Life History and Behavioral Screening Questionnaires

Psychological Exam – this process takes 2 to 3 months.  Please contact the Executive Assistant to the Canon to the Ordinary to get the name and contact information of the psychologist.  Be sure to make your appointment with plenty of time for the psychological report to arrive at the Office of the Bishop.  Print the form in the the link below for the psychological exam questionnaire form.
